On The After Afterlife
We celebrate the after afterlife by commemorating and honoring your departed loved one or departed pet. As an alternative to the dark attic or basement corner where you might keep cremated remains, we offer a personal way to bring your loved one or pet into the light. Do away with the plain cardboard box or the nondescript urn and have a reimagined, original art piece that represents their true essence. Each piece is elemental and has a comforting presence. On Cremation
Our Artists infuse your piece with the cremated ashes, enabling you to include this tribute in the beauty of your own home. We have made every effort to make this process simple and efficient. Upon completing your order, we will send you a collection kit and envelope to send the ashes in. We use about a tablespoon of cremation ashes in our pieces allowing for other tributes to take place, whether that be scattering ashes in a favorite place or burying them to have a physical space to visit. We are devoted to offering you cremation art by the highest quality Artists who work with a variety of mediums.
On Sustainability
While spirituality is at the heart of our artwork, The Ash Experiment exists as a small solution to the unsustainable burial system on this planet. As our planet runs out of burial land, alternative ways to remember and celebrate our departed are coming to light. From the raw materials used to make the pieces themselves to the recyclable items to collect ashes, almost all of our collection kits and packaging materials are biodegradable. Our raw, mixed media materials have the commonality of the elements of the earth: glass is from sand, which is from rock from the earth. These practices, along with safe working environments and fair wages, help us stay true to our goal of an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
